Grand Traverse Heritage Center

The Grand Traverse Heritage Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of the Grand Traverse region. The Heritage Center maintains the Con Foster Collection and a museum on Grand Traverse history and has numerous history related events throughout the year.   In addition, located in the Heritage Center are the offices of several historical and heritage organizations, including the Traverse Area Historical Society, Railroad Historical Society of Northwest Michigan, American Association of University Women, Women’s History Project of Northwest Michigan and the Grand Traverse Area Rock and Mineral Club. The Grand Traverse Heritage Center also rents rooms for meetings and conferences.

Center Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9 am to 5 pm
Museum Hours: Mon. – Sat., 10 am to 4 pm
Archives: Mon. & Thurs. 1-4 pm; Tues., 11-1 pm or by appt. (929-7663)
Museum Admission: $3 per adult; $1.50 per child; children 3 and under are free
